Ward was born in MonroeLouisianaon April 151976. Monroe Christian School served as her Christian elementary education. When she completed the requirements for high school, Ward moved on to River Oaks High School in the summer of her junior-year. She was a member of the drill and dance team. After graduatingshe briefly went to Northeast Louisiana University. In the year she turned thirteen, old, Ward began modeling, leaving the school and relocating from Louisiana to New York in order to accomplish this. She had the idea to attempt acting a few years later. Her first role was an uncredited role in the 1970's soap-opera All My Children, and then was cast as the lead in a drama for teens on NBC Premier-Time Malibu Shores. In the latter half of 1996Ward was offered a part in the daytime soap opera Sunset Beach where she portrayed the sexually virginal Meg Cummings. In 1999 she started a film career, starring as a character in The In Crowd as psychotic Brittany Foster. The film did not earn money at the theatre however it did well on cable television and DVD. Ward appeared as a character in Shallow Hal in the year that followed, and performed a role of support. Apart from her direct-to-DVD roles, Ward also made many guest appearances in TV shows including Friends. She was the main part of the cast of ABC Family's drama show Make It or Break It for the first two seasons in 2009. In 2009, she was cast in the role Chloe Kmet as the mother of a teen gymna. In her private life she was the wife of David C. Robinson. The couple was blessed with a son called Cameron.
