Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her roles in film and on television since the mid 1980s. She has received various awards, such as two Golden Globe Awards as well as sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Known for her work in film and television since the late 1980s she's won numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett was born to her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and raised in New York New York. Her mother split with her father when she was approximately five. She and her younger sister then went to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when she watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and realized that her desire to become an actor come true. After graduating of Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with a Bachelor's Degree of African American Studies, she continued to pursue the Master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. In 1997, she was married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. Master of Arts (Afro-American studies) in 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
